I am so, so, so in love. He couldn't have behaved any better - he slept the entire time, but was obliging enough to keep his legs and hands out of his adorable face so we could get some pictures. A rough estimate of his weight based on his femur and skull size is 3 pounds, 9 ounces. He has hair, and it looks like he's still very much a little boy. Everything looks perfect - he's big, chubby, healthy, already facing head down and ready for mommy to push him out in March!!!
And here's a picture of me! I know I'm big, but I still can't believe that he can fit in there!

And it's a....
BOY!!!
Hearing the technician say that was probably the biggest shock and surprise of my life.
Here he is, relaxing:
Here's his tiny little foot. Look, you can see all his toes!!!
And in case anyone is still doubting his boyishness, here is the proof...
He is 12 ounces, and measuring about 10 days ahead of schedule (yay for big babies!). His heartbeat was a nice, strong 159. During the ultrasound, he was very mellow, and just relaxing - he stuck his fingers in his nose, and did some very cute reverse sit ups - he's super flexible!!!

Our Early Screening Ultrasound
It only took Sprout two weeks to change completely from a cute gummy bear to an adorably little baby!
Our Early Screening ultrasound went really well - no markers for any sort of complication or abnormality. My blood results will be back in a week, which is when we'll know for sure.
The baby is a little more than 2 inches long now. We saw Sprout's little fingers, and we got to watch Sprout move - well... like Daddy, Sprout is a pretty chill, relaxing kinda baby, so no acrobatic flips for us - Sprout just sucked on his/her hands, waved them around at us, hiccuped a few times, and kicked me once! We are both more than in love.
And..... it is PROBABLY a.....
GIRL!
Here are some pictures:
And in case anyone is curious what Momma looks like, I look absolutely the same, hehe. Here's proof: (weeks 4, 6, 8, and 11 from left to right)

Baby's first picture!
Hi everyone! I am 9 weeks, 5 days old, and 3 cm long from the top of my head to the bottom of my rump. You can see my head (left side) and my arms (the two white lines) and you can sort of see my leg! Mommy and daddy got to see my heart beating, too.
And if anyone was curious what my mommy looks like, here is a picture from last week. Can you believe that I fit in there? She looks totally the same as usual!!!
